Blacklog Creek | Blacklog Creek Summertime trout on Huntingdon County’s Blacklog Creek Freddie McKnight Growing up in Huntingdon County, I often found myself along some smaller stream, away from the better-known summer fishing haunts. One of those small streams was Blacklog Creek. This small stream starts out as a trickle within the Tuscarora State Forest in Juniata County. Gaining size as it winds its way down Blacklog Valley, it flows for nearly 30 miles before joining the Aughwick Creek just outside of Rockhill Furnace. Along its entire course, the stream is a great summertime fishery for numerous species, but trout is still the king for most anglers who wet their lines here. Learn more about Blacklog Creek in the July issue of Pennsylvania Outdoor Times.
